One Breathe Meditation

Take it all in and let it all out… Thats what he said was the one breathe meditation. As I was sitting there in awe by this National Geographic Photographer who was speaking to us about his experiences at a Beachbody Leadership retreat,  My mind kept going back to this one thing he said about the one breathe meditation.  What is it really though?   How can that be meditation?

Well let me give you my take on it….

Breathing it all in:

This is the most basic function of life, breathing in, and yet it is the one thing that we should be most grateful for.  Breathing is one of those things our bodies just does, and because it happens without our consciousness we tend to take it for granted.

BUT….

What else do we take for granted.  The smile of a stranger, the beauty of a sunrise, the growth from a trial, the majesty of a mountain, or a sublime sunset.  Breathing it ALL in is taking a moment to be grateful for everything EVERYTHING that is about us in this life bith seen and unseen.  Letting it be part of who we are and let it affect the choices we make to be better.

Letting it all out:

Letting it ALL out can be tricky.  In order to do this sometimes it can be uncomfortable.  This is how we can show our gratitude for everything that we just took in.  You see the most abundant life is one that does not just take in but also GIVES BACK.  When you let it ALL out YOU are what others see.  Each person that was put her on this earth was uniquley blessed with something to give back.  Sometimes it is sharing your story, sharing your trials and triumphs, but other times it may just be to be there for someone who needs a friend.

Truly letting it out is what allows you to be free, to be free to be WHO YOU ARE is one of the most liberating things the human soul can experience.

When you allow others to see you as a perfectly imperfect person, then you are really able to be intimate with life.  That is the goal here.

If you break it down Intimacy can be stated as IN - TO - ME - YOU - SEE.  When others can truly see you then and only then can they truly love you.
