Eating clean can be very confusing.  And the nutrition guides mean well when they explain to you all of the different types of food you should eat and how much of it to eat, but lets face it, it can be a pain.

One thing I have found is that if I can follow a recipe that just gives me the breakdown for a program then it becomes an easy thing to stay on top of.
